ReplyDeleteThe AGATE model deviate slightly from the strength perspective because it does not focus exclusively on the clients capabilities. The approach embodies a dual focus. (1) Client concerns are identified and explored (2) strengths are also highlighted. pg.112
11. How would using the biopsychosocial perspective be helpful in working with clients?
ReplyDeleteThe biopsychosocial perspective focuses on the the individuals biological systems, emotional systems, and societal systems. The approach emphasized how important the interations of these systems and the client are when it comes helping and individual solve their problem. This approach views the individual as transacting and interacting within their environment. (pages 104-105)
